It's a bitter cold day outside in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but 244 duelists have braved the winds to show up today and compete for a brand new copy of Doomcaliber Knight! The big story from last weekend was the finals. Erin Diaz's "Kaiba Control" deck, which really controls nothing except the amount of turns your opponent has, blazed through the competition and is looking to make a strong showing here today. On the other hand, Jerry Wang's spectacular Dark Armed Return deck is the most successful control incarnation we've seen thus far, and I know many players planning on taking that deck all the way.
Plenty of big teams have made it out for this event. Team Overdose is here piloting Gladiator Beast decks, while CO, Kamikaze Krew, Face2Face, and Yu-Gi-Oh! ETC have all made appearances as well. They'll be taking on a hungry crowd of competitors from Minneapolis though. Last time here we saw Shane Scurry defeat Daniel Tate in a final that defined a format. This time Shane's behind the vendor bench, but with the release of the Gold Series and the mass release of Crush Card Virus, you can be sure Minneapolis is the going to be home to a game-changing tournament once more.
