Scrub Brush Challenge – Shonen Jump Philadelphia
Well, with such a massive turnout (805 and we’ve still got some latecomers), it’s no surprise there were a lot of players eager to take the challenge – I had to cut off registration fairly early, which was disappointing for several players who wanted to participate. Anyways, here’s a look at today’s stalwart lineup!
Andrew Bollinger – 16 years old from Gettysburg, PA. He was our first ever Scrub Brush Competitor, and he’s back again for more fun this time. He’s representing Delinquent Duo.
Alan Taulbee – 16 years old from Hanover, PA. He’s representing Delinquent Duo.
Matt Knaub – 16 years old from Hanover, PA.
Thai Bui – 18 years old from Philadelphia, we’ve seen a lot of him at Eastern events.
Roberto Rivera – 20 years old from Kauneonga, NY.
Matt Bishop – 17 years old from Brampton, Ontario – let’s see if he can make it this time! He’s representing Team Self-Esteem.
Jonathan Labounty – 16 years old from Waterbury, CT. He’s representing Team Rampage.
Jerome McHale – 20 years old from Pittsburgh PA, fellow reporter Jerome yielded to our nagging and agreed to sign up.
Mike Powers – 17 years old from
Buffalo, NY.
Scott Schwartz – 20 years old from Syosset, NY.
Henry Kin – 23 years old from New Jersey.
Ethan Fox – 22 years old, from New Jersey.
Tariq Williams – 18 years old from Scotch Plains, NJ.
Dale Bellido – 19 years old from Mississauga, Ontario. He’s here representing the as-yet-unnamed Canadian mega-team.
Anthony Alvarado – 19 years old from New York. He’s representing Team Overdose.
Chris Pittao – 22 years old from Windsor, Ontario. He’s also representing that still-without-a-name Canadian mega-team.
Nick Curtis – 19 years old from Medina, Ohio. He’s representing Team Evolution.
With apologies to the many hopeful competitors who wanted to sign up and couldn’t – let’s see how many of today’s Challengers will make good on their claim. With a field of 800+, pulling out a Top 8 place is going to be tough. Watch them as the rounds progress!
