This will be the last Scrub Brush Challenge update for today! So, let’s take one last look at our brave competitors, and see if any of them have a chance.

Well, we’ve got two players at the Top 8 tables, so things look very promising! I’d say it’s certain that Chris Moosman will repeat his Seattle win, so you can look forward to another interview with him tomorrow. We’ve got very few drops at this point; it looks like most of the competitors are in it ‘til the end. Make sure you come back tomorrow to see where everyone finished!
Scrub Brush Challenge Update – Round 6!

Scrub Brush Challenge Update: Round 3!
All right, normally I bring you these every second round, but Round 3 will do as well. Let’s see how our competitors are doing!

Sam Mulvihill is at table 118 with 1 win, playing Stephen Leung.
Omar Navarro is at table 14 with 2 wins, playing Allen Hin.

Chris Welch is at table 20 with 2 wins, playing Chris Monterroso.
Wilson Yu is at table 7 with 2 wins, playing Lance Leonhart. Top tables!
You know, they’re doing pretty well so far! Lots of them have two wins. It’s too bad that four of them are playing other competitors, though. Oh well, that’s the way it goes. I’ll bring you another update in round 5, so make sure you come back for that!
Scrub Brush Challenge: San Jose
All right, it’s time for the last Scrub Brush Challenge of 2006! We had no shortage of eager competitors hoping to win this final challenge — here is our lineup! We’ve a nice mix of familiar faces, former winners, multiple-time scrubbers and brand-new competitors. Take a look!
Sam Mulvihill is 20 years old, from Bellevue, Washington and he’s representing Sportscard Mint's Team Fusion. He’s currently attending nursing school, and says “Make your jokes . . . now.”
Chris Welch is 17 years old, from Tracy, California. He’s representing Team Nemesis, and he always wears pajamas to major events. For two day events, though, he only wears pajamas on one of the days.
Stephen Leung is 15 years old, and he’s a local player from right here in San Jose, California. He’s representing Team Moksor. He started running Fiends because they comprised the majority of his collection three years ago, and continues to do so.
Charles Laygo is 15 years old, and he’s from Fresno, California. He is here as a Brave Individual, and claims to be the only player running Gyroid here today!
Nick Travaglini is 16 years old, from Vacaville, California. He’s representing The Duelist Army, and claims to be unknown at this time. A win here (or a particularly creative penalty picture) just might change that!
Wilson Yu, as you should all know by now, is 18 years old, from San Francisco, California, and is representing Team Junky Spot. And I do think this is his third Challenge in a row. If he drops this time I’m going to hurt him.
Vishaal Desai is 17 years old from Fairfield, California. He’s representing the Syndicate from Sacramento. A particular talent of his is dancing or "giggin" as it is called in the Bay Area. If he wins, perhaps we will see a demonstration.
Vijay Chawla is 16 years old, from Rocklin, California. He’s representing The Syndicate from NorCal, and this is his first Shonen Jump Championship, because he’s pretty lazy.
AJ Tachella is 15 years old, and he’s from Lodi, California. He’s the youngest of the Tachellas (my favorite batch of brothers from California) and came here with his older brother Chris, who will be judging. This is his first Shonen Jump.
Matthew Highline is 23 years old, from Reno, Nevada. He’s representing Team Paris Hilton (perhaps you remember him from Anaheim?)
Austin Kulman is 12 years old, from Bellevue Washington. He’s representing Sportscard Mint’s Team Fusion. I love having him in the Challenge because he’s just so gosh-darn cute!
Fili Luna is 19 years old, and from Arlington, Texas. He’s representing Team Outphase. I didn’t get him into the SoCal Challenge, and he would have won if I had, so let’s see if he can make Top 8 again!
Omar Navarro is 17 years old, and is from Torrance, California. He’s representing Team Enigma, and he’s a great person! We don’t have to take his word for it either . . . Jason assures me it is true.
Alex Reynolds is 18 years old, from Chino Hills, California. He’s representing Team Majestic. He usually wears a Maha Vailo card around his neck, but today he forgot it.
Vincent Tran is 19 years old, from San Jose, California. He’s representing Team Estimate, and he seems like so much fun I just had to include him.
Arthur Chien is 17years old, from San Jose, California. He’s representing Team Estimate, and would like everyone to know that building decks on site for Yu-Gi-Oh! is not the best way to start a tournament. He’s also got an awesome hat.
JP Gentry is 17 years old, from Bellevue, Washington. He’s representing Sportscard Mint’s Team Fusion, and he’s funny, in an overly sarcastic way.
Corey Defeo is 17 years old, from Torrance, CA. He’s representing Team Shuffle and Cut. He’s always the driver, and he made it here from Los Angeles in six hours.
Chris Moosman is 17 years old, and he’s from Seaside California. He’s got a brand new haircut, and he’s representing Team Junky Spot, as well as Project D.
There you have it! This is the last chance to win fame (and dodge infamy) in the Scrub Brush challenge this year, so best of luck to all who signed up. As always, you can track their progress throughout the day, on alternate rounds. We didn’t have any winners in Anaheim, so perhaps today will be someone’s lucky day. Nine rounds will tell!
