Day 2 Intro
Todd Ozawa

Aloha, and welcome to the second day of Shonen Jump Hawaii. The judges are meeting with the Top 16 competitors right now, and the players are all anxious to begin. These players are piloting all of the Big 4 decks.

There are five players here with Dark Armed Dragon decks, including the current US National Champion Chris Bowling and Team Comic Odyssey’s Ryan Hayakawa.

Gladiator Beasts are equally represented in the Top 16, with five players ready to deal with Prohibition and contact Fuse their way to victory. These players include Ronald Ribao, who was able to hand Chris Bowling his only loss in yesterday’s eight rounds of Swiss.

Monarchs with Prime Material Dragon were able to take four slots on Day 2. Roel Salanga and Joseph Balbirona, both Hawaiian players, are looking to take this powerful trend in Monarchs to another great finish here today.

Lightsworn headlined by Judgment Dragon, from the most recent set of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Light of Destruction, have the smallest showing in Day 2, with only two players piloting these deck-depleting monsters. One of these, Wade Yoshida, is the youngest player in the Top 16. He’s not intimidated, and is prepared to bring the power of the Lightsworn to bear in his bid for the big prize.

Who will win his own Doomcaliber Knight and the envy of players worldwide? Keep checking back during the day to find out!
