Eight rounds of tournament play have finished up quite early here in Minneapolis and now only 16 duelists remain. Team Overdose landed all three of their competitors in the Top 16, while Face2Face went two for three.  As expected the majority of the Top 16 decks are Dark Armed Return. Though the builds may vary, the philosophy behind all of them is the same. Draw the best cards as soon as possible and dominate the duel with them.

Finishing first in Swiss once more is Cedric Sequerra. He’ll ride his hot streak tomorrow when he faces off against John Hammond’s Tundo OTK. Another familiar face on the circuit, Paul Levitin’s Gladiator Beasts will take on Joshua Fulger and his Dark Armed Return build.

Jeremy Renda has taken his Six Samurai build to a 7-1 finish, and he’ll face off against Christopher Kendrick’s Dark Armed Return build. The other Gladiator Beast deck in the Top 16 will be played by Anthony Alvarado, who will take on Mario Matheu and his Light and Darkness Dragon inspired Return build.

Kris Perovic is back in day 2 action, and, unsurprisingly, he’s here with Diamond Dude Turbo. He’ll be taking on Nathan Kral and his Zombie build.

The remainder of the matches are Dark Armed mirror matches. Some players are using builds with Cyber Valley, while others have stuck with the tried-and-true D-Hero builds. Skill, luck and bravery are necessary qualities for the winner tomorrow. Be sure to stay tuned with metagame to catch all the action!
