Day 1 of Shonen Jump Washington is over, and some important verdicts are in. The dust has settled, the smoke has cleared, and we have some surprising results.

Kris Perovic has reinvented Diamond Dude Turbo (for a second time), making a strong showing and returning to Day 2 action. Gadgets proved their worth in the hands of Marc Glass, Destiny Heroes are most certainly not dead, and, most surprising of all, a whopping five Zombie decks have made it to Day 2. Welcome to the era of Il Blud.

The decks? Surprising. The players? Astounding. Tomorrow we’ll see one of the greatest collections of veterans and high-impact rookies clash, and the matchups are nothing short of phenomenal. Matt Peddle and Paul Levitin face off in a Zombie mirror match. Fili Luna and Jon Labounty go head-to-head in a rematch from the Finals of Shonen Jump Detroit, and Dale Bellido will battle his way toward the finals in a bid to meet one of his teammates. We’re ringing in the new format with a true spectacle of dueling.
