While we weren’t able to get 100% of the decklists (missed 5), we were able to break down the Day 1 metagame as follows:

Notes:
Categorization is not perfect, but most decks that would fit a category were sorted into a matching group.
Monarch decks almost all included Prime Material Dragon, following in the footsteps of Adam Corn.
In the “Other” category were some oldies-but-goodies, including Exodia, Plants, Batteryman, Dark Magician, and Harpie Lady decks.
The results seem to show some good information that might be useful for upcoming events. Notice that:
1. None of the Dark decks without Dark Armed Dragon made the Top 16.
2. Only the decks in the Big 4, without exception, made the Top 16.
3. While Monarchs had the highest representation, only 5% of them made the Top 16, while almost 30% of the Dark Armed Dragon decks made the cut.
4. The Big 4 decks made up almost exactly 50% of the field, overall.
If I have time, I’ll try to do a Top 16 card saturation report (which I’ve found to be a strong indication of power cards and decks) later.
