It’s over! Ten long rounds have come to an end, sixteen duelists remain, and Dark Armed Return reigns supreme yet again!
Eleven of the Top 16 decks tomorrow will feature the plethora of Dark monsters and massive special summoning that we’ve come to expect. While a big variety of decks came close to qualifying for Day 2, the Top 16 lineup is nothing but Dark-oriented decks, with every single duelist playing three copies of Allure of Darkness. Of the five decks that aren’t Dark Armed Return, two are Diamond Dude Turbo, two are Priestess OTKs, and the last is a revamped version of the OTK strategy Vincent Tundo played at Houston.
Tomorrow we’ll see duelists like Overdose’s Adam Corn, ETC’s Phillip Anthony, Jason Holloway, Justin Gillison, Augustin Herrera, and many more square off. Will Dark Armed Return claim another tournament, or will OTK strategies beat them to the punch? Can DDT succeed where it fell short at Costa Mesa? We’ll find out tomorrow, bright and early at 9:15 AM, as we kick off Day 2 of Shonen Jump Championship Columbus!
