It’s over! A total of four Last Chance Regional tournaments have come and gone, and four more duelists have qualified for tomorrow’s event: the Canadian National Championships. It was a surprising day here at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
First, Hersso Coto Portillo captured his invite in the first Last Chance Regional of the weekend, going all the way with a Lightsworn deck that demonstrated clear lessons from both Dale Bellido and Han-Wei Tang’s previous builds. Then, Eduard Kuang made a series of spectacular plays to qualify with Six Samurai. The last two qualifications of the day were won by Adrian Sado and Isaiah Joseph, each of them earning his invite with Gladiator Beasts.
The field was incredibly varied, with duelists trying everything from bizarre burn decks to Macro Cosmos, looking to get an edge. At the end of the day though it was four proven decks that made the cut, and tomorrow, we’ll see those four duelists join a qualified pool of over 300 potential competitors. At the end, one National Champion will emerge.
Our congratulations go out to Hersso Coto Portillo, Eduard Kuang, Adrian Sado, and Isaiah Joseph, the last four players to qualify for Nationals! Join us tomorrow, as the main event begins!
