A lot of players dropped here to rush over to the 6 pm Regionals. I guess they just haven’t had enough Yu-Gi-Oh! for one day. We don’t have any undefeateds at this point, so we’ll have to pin our hopes on Jorge and Chris. Could Chris Moosman be a back-to-back winner? The next update will be the Scrub Brush Challenge Aftermath on Day 2 . . . I can at least promise you lots of scrubbing action!

We don’t have a lot of undefeated players so far. Only Christopher Welch, Chris Moosman, and Waheed Ayobi have won every match. There’ll definitely be some scrubbing in the rounds to come!
Scrub Brush Challenge Anaheim — The Competitors!
All right — another Shonen Jump, another Scrub Brush Challenge. There’s a pretty wide playing field out there, and we’ve got a wide range of participants today. Ready to meet them? Here they are, in alphabetical order:
Morgan Adams is 16 years old, from West Valley, Utah, and is representing Team Soul Survivor. He’s been to four Shonen Jump Championships but has yet to play in one. Today is his day!
Anthony Alvarado is 20 years old, from New Jersey. He’s representing Team Overdose. He uses his LED dog tag to insult other players. (His tag spells out "I Beat Matt Peddle On Time.")
Waheed Ayobi is 18 years old, from Afghanistan. He’s here as a Brave Individual. He’s never been on a team, and was #1 in Cali until Emon took the spot.
Grant Durtschy is 33 years old, from Utah. He’s representing Team Last Exile, and he has four kids—one of whom also plays Yu-Gi-Oh!
Emon Ghanienan is 18 years old, from Redondo Beach, California. He’s representing Team Overdose, and is using a brand-new hair product today—Gatsby Moving Rubber (Spike Edge) that I brought him from Tokyo.
Kyle Gordon is 18 years old, from St. Petersburg, Florida, and he’s representing Team Reckless. He’s got a nice-looking set of poker chip Sheep tokens.
Matthew Highline is 23 years old, from Reno, Nevada. He’s representing Team Paris Hilton. (Insert witty Paris Hilton joke here.)
Michael Highline is 22 years old, from Reno, Nevada. He’s also representing Team Paris Hilton. (Insert even wittier Paris Hilton joke here.)
Matthew Johnson is 16 years old, from Norco, California. He’s here as a Brave Individual, and his favorite card is Ultimate Tyranno. A player after my own heart.
Michael Lux is 18 years old, from Wesley Chapel, Florida. He’s here in support of Team LOD, and says, “I phail at life.”
Ben Massey is 19 years old, from Atlanta, Georgia. He’s here as a Brave Individual. His deck was stolen yesterday.
Chris Moosman is 17 years old, from Seaside, California. He’s representing Team Junky Spot, and hopes to recapture his title of “Most Photographed” from SJC Seattle.

Jorge Fabian Pina Lizarraga is 31 years old, and currently lives in Mexico. He’s been out of competitive play for quite a while now. Jesus Alberto Pina Lizarraga, is 25 years old, and currently lives in Los Angeles, California. Sebastian Pina is 13 years old, and lives in Los Angeles as well. I’ve decided to run them as a group.
