Keanson is here today representing Team Norcal. He's playing an aggressive hodgepodge of strong cards that's led him to some creative victories and earned him this Top 8 spot. Harry Anderson is playing a deck he built with his teammate Russell centering on Elemental Hero Stratos and Elemental Hero Wildheart. Both players just defeated difficult opponents in their Top 16 matches and are eager to take home the prize today. Keanson won the roll and elected to go first.

Keanson set a monster and a spell or trap before passing to Harry. Harry special summoned Cyber Dragon, who fell into Bottomless Trap Hole. Another Cyber Dragon came down for Harry who attacked into Gravekeeper's Spy, which replaced itself with another from the deck. Harry set a monster and a backfield and passed. Keanson set a spell or trap and passed, and Harry simply hit the Spy before passing. Keanson special summoned Cyber Dragon and normal summoned Asura Priest. Asura hit a face down Mystic Tomato, which found another Tomato. Asura hit that too and hit the Spirit Reaper that came out in its place. Cyber Dragon attacked Spirit Reaper as well. Keanson set another backfield card and passed.

Harry flipped Smashing Ground to destroy Cyber Dragon and switched his own Cyber to defense. Spirit Reaper attacked directly but was destroyed with Ring of Destruction. A back row card came down for Harry before he passed. Keanson normal summoned Asura Priest, played Premature Burial on Cyber Dragon, and went for Harry's Cyber. Mirror Force blocked his path though, and Keanson passed.

Cyber Dragon switched back to attack mode and took a chunk from Keanson's life total. Harry set a monster and a spell or trap and passed. Keanson used Nobleman of Crossout on Don Zaloog and set a monster. Harry hit it on his turn to reveal Mystic Tomato, which searched out Sangan. Keanson was back up, and he played Pot of Avarice. He drew Confiscation off of that to reveal Harry's hand of Smashing Ground, Snatch Steal, and Heavy Storm. Storm was robbed from Harry's hand, and Keanson set another spell or trap, switched his Sangan to defense, and ended.

Harry attacked with Cyber Dragon, which Keanson denied with Sakuretsu Armor. Book of Moon stopped that play though, and Harry set a second backfield card before passing. Keanson tributed Sangan for Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, which bumped Cyber Dragon off the field. Sangan searched out Card Trooper from Keanson's deck, and he swung in with Zaborg. Harry took the damage and Keanson passed. On his turn, Harry summoned Elemental Hero Stratos to search out Elemental Hero Wildheart. Snatch Steal took Zaborg, and Harry attacked directly for the game . . . right into Mirror Force. Keanson summoned Card Trooper on his turn and chose not to use its effect. Harry was at 1900 life points and destroyed the Trooper with Ring of Destruction to stay alive before Keanson could bump it up to 1900 ATK. Keanson had no further moves and Harry was up. Pot of Avarice flew off the top of Harry's deck into play, and Harry examined his new hand. He set a monster and passed to Keanson.

Keanson special summoned Cyber Dragon, tributed it for Zaborg the Thunder Monarch and attacked directly for game.

Harry opened up the second duel with Reinforcement of the Army for Elemental Hero Stratos, who was promptly summoned to search for Elemental Hero Wildheart. A back row card for Harry ended his turn. Keanson used Heavy Storm, special summoned Cyber Dragon and summoned Spirit Reaper. He cleared Stratos off the field and hit Cyber Dragon from Harry's hand with Reaper. A set spell or trap ended the turn for Keanson.

Harry summoned D. D. Assailant on his turn and got in some hurt on Spirit Reaper. Keanson turned Reaper to defense on his turn and ploughed Cyber Dragon through the Assailant. He passed with no further plays, and Harry passed his turn entirely. Reaper attacked directly but was blocked with Scapegoat. Keanson hit a Sheep and Harry was up. Harry once again made no moves, and Keanson summoned Asura Priest to clear the Sheep. Reaper hit Mystic Swordsman LV2 from Harry's hand, and Harry was back on deck. He special summoned Cyber Dragon and beat up on Spirit Reaper again. A set monster and another set spell or trap finished Harry's turn. Keanson made no moves on his turn.

Harry summoned Elemental Hero Wildheart, flip summoned D. D. Warrior Lady, and used Enemy Controller to destroy Reaper. He attacked directly with his team but Keanson put up a wall of Sheep tokens with Scapegoat. Harry hit three Sheep and passed to Keanson. Keanson had seven cards in hand, but six of them were monsters and the final card was Mystical Space Typhoon. He didn't have much to stop this onslaught of Harry's from being successful. He used the Space Typhoon and flung Asura Priest into Wildheart and D. D. Warrior Lady, which took it out of play. Cyber hit the final token, and Keanson was up. He set a monster and passed to Harry, who attacked it with Cyber Dragon. It was Treeborn Frog, and Keanson brought it back into play on his turn. He set a second monster before allowing Harry to take his next turn.

Harry attacked the face down monster with Cyber Dragon and had it removed by D. D. Assailant. Harry set a second backfield card and passed. Keanson set a monster and finished his turn. Harry flopped Confiscation on the table and looked at Don Zaloog, Mystic Tomato, Mobius the Frost Monarch, Neo-Spacian Grand Mole and Pot of Avarice. He elected to discard the Avarice and finished his turn. Keanson set another monster and passed back to Harry.

Harry used Premature Burial on Elemental Hero Wildheart. He used Torrential Tribute when Wildheart came into play, clearing out a Gravekeeper's Spy and Sangan, who searched out Exiled Force. Wildheart attacked and play was to Keanson. He tributed Treeborn Frog for Mobius the Frost Monarch and destroyed Premature Burial to send Wildheart to the grave. Book of Moon was chained though, and Mobius went to defense mode. Harry set a spell or trap and passed, and Keanson flipped Mobius after bringing back Frog to hit for 2400 damage. Keanson set a backfield card and a monster before ending his turn. Mystic Tomato came down for Harry, and he attacked Keanson's face down Mystic Tomato. Keanson searched another copy from his deck, and Harry set a second backfield card before passing.

Keanson used Exiled Force on Harry's Tomato, switched his own to defense and attacked with Mobius into Sakuretsu Armor. Harry was at 2100 life points to Keanson's 3300 and was barely hanging on. Keanson set a second card to his back row and it was Harry's turn again. He used Exiled Force on Mystic Tomato and passed. Keanson dropped Don Zaloog and Harry destroyed it with Mirror Force. Call of the Haunted brought back Mobius the Frost Monarch to swing for game.
