Awesome news this week—Upper Deck has made the surprise announcement of "Upper Deck Day" events, a multi-tournament festival of free stuff aimed at Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG players. It all goes down on February 7 and 8 at locations across North America, and the main event at each location is a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournament offering Shonen Jump-level prizes. The first-, second-, and third-place finishers in each Upper Deck Day "Duelist Challenge" event will win a Shonen Jump Championship edition Gold Sarcophagus, Shrink, or Des Volstgalph, respectively. Not enough for you? Other prizes include dozens of booster boxes, playmats, and more, with every Top 16 finisher walking off with at least a box of cards. This is going to be huge.

Upper Deck Day is clearly meant to attract gamers of all kinds too, not just Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG players. Attendees will be able to participate in free beginners’ tournaments for the World of Warcraft TCG and the free Huntik TCG sneak preview, and everybody playing in them will walk away with free Starter Decks.
