2005 UK National Championship
Metagame Staff

Kensington, Olympia played host to the 2005 United Kingdom Yu-Gi-Oh! National championships. With the great and the good having battled through Regional tournaments, city tournaments and last chance “grinders,” each duelist found themselves in the heady position of “Nationals competitor” with the opportunity to walk away with the ultimate prize—the title of National Champion and a golden ticket into the World Championships to be held in Tokyo.

Following the April 1changes to the Advanced format restrictions, it appeared that Chaos was well and truly on top, with seven of the top eight decks describing themselves as “Chaos” of some description, and the lone Horus deck in the Top 8 also packed Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning.

When the dust settled, it was Adam Kruszynski who walked away with the illustrious crown of 2005 UK Yu-Gi-Oh! National Champion, following a day’s exciting play.
