Scrub Brush Challenge — Austin
Another Shonen Jump, another Scrub Brush Challenge! Some of our pre-registrants couldn’t make it, but we’ve still got an exciting lineup for you. Cast your eyes upon the Austin hopefuls:
Duy Bui is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He’s representing Team GG, and entered the challenge back in Atlanta. At SJC Arlington, he introduced a deck called"BluMoos." At this event, he’ll be running a “really interesting deck” created by his teammate, Ryan "Kill_Switich" Goff.
Jake Campbell is 17 years old, from Cleburne, Texas (basically Ft. Worth, Texas). He’s representing Team GG, and isn’t going to run cookie cutter if he can get the cards he needs.
Steven Hills is 20 years old, and moved to San Antonio, Texas from New Orleans. He’s representing Disciples of Genesis, and is playing an aggro/control deck today.
Sammy Huda is 16 years old, from Arlington, Texas. He’s representing Team BFD.
Russell Jessen is 15 years old, and a local boy from Austin, Texas. He’s representing Team Hpnotiq, and has a secret tech card today.
Fili Luna is 19 years old, and from Arlington, Texas. He’s representing Team Outphase and couldn’t make it to Boston, so he’s going to have a shot at the challenge today.
Andrew Novoa is 19 years old, from San Francisco, California. He’s representing Team Junky Spot, and this is his first chance at the Scrub Brush Challenge! He made it to 2nd place at Shonen Jump Denver, so let’s see how he does today.
Brad Poth is 27 years old, and from Austin, Texas. He’s also representing Team Hpnotiq, and has a Cyber Jar tattoo on his arm.
Ricky "Nut" Riles is 15 years old, representing Team GG and is pretty well known in the online world of Yu-Gi-Oh! I’m sure everyone who knows him is looking forward to seeing if he wins — or scrubs!
James Roberts is 21 years old, from Dallas, Texas. He’s here as a Brave Individual, and is returning from a Yu-Gi-Oh hiatus. Will he come in from behind and win the challenge?
Kevin Salyer is 21 years old, from St. Louis, Missouri. He’s the only person to rename Cyber-Stein in his area and call it “skillz”.
Ryan Spicer is 15 years old, and he’s representing Team Outphase. He made Top 4 at Shonen Jump Arlington. Can he do it again?
They’ve got nine rounds to prove themselves and since they can’t all possibly make it, we’re guaranteed some scrubbing action by the end of the day. Make sure you follow their progress as the day goes on!
