Cards
The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Seven-drops in this format are like 8-drops in any other; this format is really quick.

Adam opened his packs and gave a little cheer of “We did it!” as he spied Sage, Tessa in his pile. The smile widened as he went through his blues and found a regular SNIKT!, and a foil version of the powerful plot twist.

“For sure, you definitely go for teams first when sorting in this format, then start looking at traits when you are making cuts,” remarked Adam as he carefully piled out his cards.

“Normally, I like X-Men, Morlocks, and Brotherhood . . . the power levels between those three are about the same. Hellfire Club is a little tricky.”

Unfortunately for Adam, there were some problems with depth in his card pool. A dire lack of Physical mutants meant that Kill or be Killed, Kidney Punch, and double Immovable had to chill on the bench, as did Hump and most of his Morlock buddies. Instead, the Hellfire Club would be the team of choice as the third in a Three Team Special.

The Mental and Energy elements were good, and with a Join the Club! to find Sage, Tessa, Adam could smooth out his curve pretty well. There were still a lot of attack pumps that made the cut in Adam’s deck, but not a whole lot going on involving tricks.

There was an option on going Physical, but it would involve playing with lots of characters that couldn’t be reinforced, and Adam would much rather be safe than get in races that he couldn’t rely on winning.

Build one seemed solid, but unspectacular, for Prosak. Time to be a master for five rounds so he can sit in a good position for the second build.
