Andrew chose the odd initiatives. Once more, he opened with Connie Webb to Domingo’s Cheetah. Domingo missed his turn 2 play, while Andrew had Sarge Steel. Domingo flipped Magical Lobotomy and flipped it right back down to allow Cheetah to stun Sarge Steel.

Andrew recruited Graziella Reza on turn 3, and Domingo had Dr. Polaris, Force of Nature in front of Cheetah. Sarge Steel attacked Cheetah and stunned her. Then, Graziella attacked Dr. Polaris. Domingo lost Talia, and the endurance totals stood at 17 to 20 in Andrew’s favor.

On turn 6, Domingo recruited Dr. Psycho, Twisted Telepath, and Andrew had Alexander Luthor, Diabolical Double. Andrew formed with Alexander Luthor protecting Sarge Steel and the Hourman in the support row. Both characters stunned and Weather Wizard’s vengeance gave his comrades +1 ATK / +1 DEF.

Next, Dr. Psycho attacked Alexander Luthor. Domingo played Burning Gaze and returned Weather Wizard for Grand Gesture. Domingo 1, Andrew 1

Hourman attacked Wonder Woman and used his ability to boost him beyond stun range. Before the turn ended, Domingo used No Mercy to return his Sinestro by having the target be Sinestro himself. The endurance totals were then Domingo 13, Andrew 9.

Turn 7 saw Domingo recruiting The Calculator, Crime Broker and Andrew recruiting Black Adam, Ruthless Hero behind Roy. Through Dr. Psycho and Rose Psychic, the endurance totals went down to Andrew -2, Domingo -1 at the beginning of combat. Dr. Psycho attacked Hourman III and Andrew used his innate ability to pump Hourman III up. He flipped Advance Warning and the attack bounced. However, this depleted his one-shot ability, and Wonder Woman was able to stun him without any difficulty. The Calculator then swung down into Roy, and . . .

Andrew flipped Target Acquired, flipped and exhausted House of Secrets, and played a second Target Acquired.

Domingo’s expression changed from one of guarded certainty to one of shock and helplessness.

The crowd waited with baited breath for Andrew to flip one last ATK pump and use Roy Harper ◊ Arsenal, Knight’s
ability to stun The Calculator. The tension built up . . . and exploded into guffaws of laughter as Andrew sheepishly smiled, shrugged, and extended his hand to Domingo. “I don’t have it. I just wanted to see what you would do.”
