Day 1 of Pro Circuit San Francisco is at an end, and what a day it has been! While there was a big question mark about whether any deck could compete against the powerful Justice League of Arkham discard deck, it would appear that there were plenty of players packing their tech, with the field shaking out to have many viable archetypes battling for the top of the standings. Team FTN’s burn deck posted many strong finishes, along with Checkmate toolbox builds from both TAWC and the Anglo-Canadian Alliance. Squadron Supreme also refused to stay down, with builds featuring a full set of Fate Artifacts sitting on the top tables for much of the day.

Team FTN’s Vidianto Wijaya was revelling in the fact that Karl Horn had thrown off the Pro Circuit “curse” in Atlanta. Having won there, Vidi proceeded to go 9-1 today, placing third before the drafts begin. Vidi has a total of three Pro Circuit Top 8s, including his victory in Atlanta, under his belt already. Can he do it again, placing himself on the top of the list of players vying for the title of “best Vs. player in the world”?
