The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

While I was checking the decklists earlier today, I noticed they had something that can lead to the deepest despair anyone who has to type them up. Some of the lists have some card names, or even all the card names, in Italian.

It’s a normal procedure, since if the judging staff needs to check a list, there is always a local judge to bail them out. But for the lone reporter or Ben “The Fingers” Bleiwess who will type them all up just for you, it’s a nightmare.

Thankfully I only had to ask about four cards today, and while watching matches I just do what all the players do—recognize the card by the art, not the name. But just to give you a taste of what it’s like to go through these lists, I took a couple of pictures of the card names of some Italian cards.

They are all playable cards in Constructed. Try to figure out if you know what each one is, though some of them are very obvious. As far as I’m concerned, it’s always cool to have cards in foreign languages, but when you hand in decklists with non-English names, some have to play the translation game more often that not.

In case the pictures aren’t clear enough, here are the card names.

There’s no way you can figure out who Ms. Marvel II is without a hint. No way. But you love to draw her early in one of the original top decks in the Vs. System metagame.
