I had the pleasure of sitting down across the table from one of my friends this round. Jeremy Gray is an Indiana Vs. System player and a member of one of the more famous teams in Vs., Team Misunderstood. Jeremy came to the tournament today with a bizarre take on GLEE. Well, maybe bizarre is too strong a word. More like . . . misunderstood.
“I was sitting at home last night with a GLEE deck in front of me. My girlfriend was rooting through a box of my cards and asked me if Granny Goodness was any good. When I looked down at all of the little guys in my deck, I immediately said, ‘Yes! Give it to me.’ That’s how it got in the deck.” Yes, you read that right—Jeremy Gray has a girlfriend. And he’s playing Granny Goodness in GLEE.
Apparently, Granny packs quite a punch. Under her harsh but loving tutelage, all of the little GLEE guys get a little bigger. They get a little bit stronger. And they definitely get a whole lot meaner. According to Jeremy, “This deck deals so much damage. Last round, I got my opponent to 12 on turn 4, and the round before that, I got him to 13 by 4.” With the wallop this deck pack, Jeremy’s wins can be quite explosive. However, his deck can fizzle out on him, too. He’s currently sitting at 3-2. If he can rattle off a few wins, he’ll be in good shape. Remember, even if fate hates you and you don’t think you can win, Granny loves you.
