The results are in, and once again, Curve Sentinels and Teen Titans are kings of the hill by a wide margin. The interesting thing, though, is the wide variety that pops up just below them. If it’s a deck you can think of, someone here at the $10K is running it. The final counts are as follows:
Curve Sentinels - 36
Teen Titans - 28
Other - 14
Common Enemy - 10
League of Assassins - 9
Marvel Knights Concealed - 9
The New Brotherhood - 9
GLEE - 8
Mutant Nation - 7
Brave and the Bold - 5
Old School - 3
Gamma Doom - 3
Big Brotherhood - 3
Medium Brotherhood - 3
Gotham Knights -3
Big Bat - 3
Fantastic Four Curve - 2
Non-Gamma Doom - 2
Fantastic Fun - 2
New School - 2
X-Men - 2
Spider Friends - 2
Rigged Elections - 2
Xavier’s Dream - 1
Another interesting thing to note is the breakdown within the Curve Sentinel decks. Of the 36, 23 are running Magneto, Master of Magnetism as their 7-drop of choice, while only seven of them are running Juggernaut. After that, it gets interesting. Making his presence felt at this $10K is the habitual coin-flipper himself, Two-Face, Split Personality. Four of the other decks are running him, while one is running both Two-Face and Juggernaut. There’s even a deck that has good old Tri-Sentinel coming out of retirement. We’ll keep track of any other emerging trends we notice here, so stay tuned here at Metagame.com for ongoing coverage of $10K Wizard World Chicago.
