By now, you know the drill. You’ve seen these JLA cards for two weeks, and this weekend is your chance to finally play with them. Sneak Preview tournaments are getting bigger and bigger with each released set, and now they’ve gotten to the point where they celebrate Vs. System and the community in general just as much as they celebrate the new set. If you want to meet up with Vs. System players from your area, this is the time and place to do so.
Aside from the gushy gargantuan gathering, this weekend is all about crushing your community comrades with cool new cards. Open up your five packs, lay out your teams, fill up your curve, and get the ally powers all lined up to trigger. Or, if you want more control over your card pool, play in a Booster Draft or two and force the strategy that you want to try out.
For those of you who have done this Sneak Preview shindig before, there’s an expectation for a little something extra. Once again, not only will free stuff be given out, but it’ll also be cool free stuff. It’s important to make that distinction, and those of you who are flashing around your Alex Ross playmat from The Avengers or your Green Lantern Corps deck boxes know what I mean.
Don’t worry. In the immortal words of Joey Ramone, “Second verse, same as the first!” Not since the original three-chord assault twenty years ago has repetition been so sweet. Let’s review—all participants this weekend will receive two stacker cards. Chiggity-check ’em out.
Isn’t it nice when you get two great-looking cards with some built-in synergy?
If you want the exclusive extended-art card, you’re going to have to win a bunch of games.
I would spend a lot of time hyping up this version of Martian Manhunter, but that alone would insult his power. This guy is a wrecking ball, and if one of these bad boys isn't incentive enough to conquer all at your Sneak Preview, I don't know what is.
Of course, no Sneak Preview would be complete without a shiny new deck box and a playmat with some unbelievable art. You can either win these by doing well in the tournament, or as a random door prize.
Get your hands on one of these, and your deck will look really super, man.
. . . I heard that groan all the way from here!
There will be t-shirts given away too, but you’ll have to go to the event to see the latest in Super Hero TCG fashion.
Of course, all these items will only be around while supplies last. Click on the Sneak Preview banner, find your local event, and get there early to make sure you don’t miss out. This will be your only chance to get this cool stuff without busting out your trade binder and being at the mercy of a guy who was smart enough to go.
That is, if he’s willing to part with his cool JLA schwag—which isn’t likely.
