Round 3: Andre Muller vs. Kristine Lyon |

This time I thought I’d match up a German versus something more good-looking than a Frenchman. Kristine is a rare breed. She plays TCGs, poker and computer games! She’s taken, though. Sorry guys. She flew over from the United States to visit Florent Jeudon, her overseas boyfriend, and she picked up Marvel while here. What better way to see if she learned it well than playing in the $10K . . . although she was quick to add she only learned how to play last night. She’s sitting pretty at 2-0 with her Sentinels deck. Andre is still running Teen Titans.
Tim Drake came out swinging and got backed up by Roy Harper ◊ Arsenal before Kristine recruited Sentinel Mark II. Roy took out Mark, and Tim swung in for a quick 3 with a little help from Tamaran. Sentinel Mark V continued the theme for Kristine, and she quickly put him behind his smaller namesake. Andre took a little longer to decide on a formation after recruiting Red Star. He settled on Tim Drake in the front, with Red Star behind him and Roy next to him. Mark II attacked Tim, and after trading powerups came out unscathed. Tim powered up Roy on his way out, and Mark V came after mister Harper, who boosted himself. Two more powerups made sure both Mark Brothers survived their battles.
Next up were Garth ◊ Tempest and Nimrod with Andre’s initiative. The German’s entire team crashed into the big robot, who repaired himself to avoid unpleasant stunning. The team attack was a dead giveaway for Teen Titans Go!, and Andre indeed had it, stunning the Marks who fought so valiantly last turn. Mark II hit the bin. No Bastion for Kristine, as she only had Boliver Trask to get herself another Mark, this time with boost. Andre’s response was a Dawn Granger ◊ Dove with boost, fetching Hank Hall ◊ Hawk. He set up all his little men in the front row with Garth, Red Star, and Roy Harper watching their backs. Kristine’s formation was a little more straightforward with the Mark Vs in the back, and Nimrod and puny Boliver in front. In response to Kristine declaring an attack with Nimrod, Roy did his thing and tried to shoot down the unboosted Mark V. After a lot of sighing and thinking, Kristine allowed it. Andre then took it a step further, putting a Hank Hall pump on the chain, responding with a Press the Attack that untapped the overworked Roy, who then stunned Nimrod. Kristine had the Overload, but the tricksy German had timed it well and she couldn’t use it to save her trusty robot.
“And now . . . you get to attack.” “That’s great.” Sentinel Mark V tried to attack Garth, but poor Kristine couldn’t even make that work, as the Savage Beatdown - Overload combo took it down, leaving Trask to face Andre’s entire team on his own. Needless to say, he didn’t feel like getting smashed into the ground, and he convinced Kristine to scoop.
Another win for Germany.
Andre Muller wins!
