The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017
While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Day 1 Wrap-Up |

The day has ended and the Top 8 has been decided. And . . . we have some surprises! Perhaps the most shocking item of all about this Top 8 is what’s not present. Namely, not a single Squadron Supreme or Teen Titans deck, despite being the two most played decks of the tournament. Instead, we have a hodgepodge of new and old-made-new-again.
The first two decks in the Top 8, locked in at the top of the standings going into the last round, are two very different burn decks. While they both have the same goal—to reduce their opponent to 0 as quickly as possible with no regard to card advantage or board position—they are built quite differently. The next decks on our Top 8 roster are again doubles; card-for-card duplicates of The Donkey Club’s new stall deck, the only two in the tournament, will be present on Sunday. Also in the Top 8 are card-for-card copies of a radically different Avengers deck. It features Enemy of My Enemy and more utility than you can shake a stick at. Rounding out the last two slots are a very old-school version of New School, piloted by Matt Oldaker, and a fairly straightforward Big Brotherhood build. It’s anyone’s guess which of these five decks will take home the trophy, but if you want to find out, check in throughout the day for continuing live coverage of $10K Minneapolis! |
