Drafting with Jason Hager on his right, Hans Höh was gunning for a solid curve and some nice tricks. He wanted to draft Manhunters, especially after seeing a Rocket Red in his third pick of the first pack, but he decided, having chosen Uppercut and Battle of Wills, that he was better off seeking out Green Lantern characters.
Here is Hans's draft, with his picks italicized and his other choices listed.

Hans mentioned to me that he likes to build a deck with three 1- and 2-drops, three of every drop from 3 to 6, and two 7-drops. He was upset with the low number of high drops in his draft, especially 5-drops, which he felt were over-drafted by someone at the table. “Someone probably has like ten 5-drops in his card pool. Everybody seemed to take characters in pack 3, which is really strange. There ended up being way too many plot twists.”
The frustration he felt was obvious, as he seemed to make some strange picks—taking Locked in Combat over Azrael ◊ Batman, when he only had one 7-drop, choosing G'Nort over Black Hand in the first pack, not picking a team-up or a second Kyle Rayner . . . “Normally I have enough 7-drops, but I ended up with only one. And I definitelty have too few characters—the deck sucks, because there were not any good drops in the last pack.”

Plot Twists
1 The Ring Has Chosen
2 Uppercut
1 Jackhammer
1 Battle of Wits
2 Locked in Combat
2 Thunderous Onslaught
1 Damsel in Distress
“My tricks are awesome but there's a good chance I will miss the curve and lose.” He was visibly upset with his situation, shaking his head. He put some of the blame on his pod-mates, thinking that they were drafting drops poorly. “If people are not good enough, they don't get the curve done, don't know what they need. So they draft a 5-drop because they think it's good, then they see a better one and draft it, and then another, and then another, and then there are not enough for the rest of the pod. They will be screwed—but I'm screwed, too. Somebody doesn't realize they're always picking the same number, and he will screw up the draft for everybody.”
His one difficult choice was between In Darkest Night and Damsel in Distress.”I only have three Emerald Enemies in the deck, so it's hard to decide between them. Darkest is normally impossible, but as my deck is so far down the curve, I may be able to use it. “In the end he chose Damsel in Distress and hoped to be able to get some early advantage with the blue and green.
