 The Vs. System $10K Circuit returns to the Harbor City of Sydney! This tournament is being watched throughout all of the Vs. world to see if the menace of Dr. Light, Master of Holograms is really as dire as the predictions suggest. The Oceania region is often the litmus test for everything in Vs.—from new decks to new formats, and everything in between—and we soon will see if the players from down under can stand against the Light. Despite the “chicken little” calls that the metagame is falling, the combination decks seem to have been kept it check with a barrage of silver bullets, not the least of which is the ubiquitous Have A Blast!.
The field is extremely diverse. The New Zealand contingent, including reigning $10K champion Shaun Hayward, is playing a highly tuned Green Lantern/Emerald Enemies Construct deck. Time will tell if they have chosen correctly—but in a field that has Curve Sentinels, Gotham Knights, New School, Teen Titans, and New Brotherhood decks all featuring prominently, it's anyone's tournament to win. |
