The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

$10K Columbus 2006
Metagame Staff

What a weekend it’s been! Of the eight players who made Day 2, five were playing Faces of Evil, but it was not a Faces deck that took home the trophy. Stephen Silverman’s Wrecking Crew deck utilized the interactions of such cards as Dr. Light and Kyle Rayner in a different way, giving him a favorable matchup in the mirror. His excellent deck allowed him to take the trophy from a Top 8 that included many of the game’s best players. He plowed through Day 2 without a single game loss — in fact, his only loss of the weekend was a game loss due to a mis-registered deck! This is Steven’s second $10K win, firmly establishing himself as a Constructed professional. This also marks the second $10K since Indy won by a member of my poorly-named testing team. Can we keep it up for LA? Will Dr. Light continue to dominate Golden Age? Hey, beats me . . . we still have a month to worry about all that. Today though — congratulations to Stephen Silverman, winner of $10K Columbus!

Day 2
This final match of the tournament brings Tillman’s Faces deck against Stephen’s Wrecking Crew deck.
Stephen's Wrecking Crew is matched against Faces of Evil a second time, this time piloted by Shaun Karnik.
Jason is a pro player and member of The Donkey Club.
Day 1
The winner of this match has a very good chance of making Top 8.
Without further ado . . .
I have it on good authority that Adam is playing a stall deck, so I suppose it’s alright to feature Michael’s wacky deck again.
Tillman Bragg is a successful professional player and member of The Donkey Club.
These players are both undefeated going into the fifth round.
Matt Oldaker is one of the best-known deckbuilders in the history of Vs. System.
These two players have been mainstays of the Vs. System professional community since the game’s inception, so neither really needs an introduction.
Mike is sporting a 63-card construction that I can’t really make heads or tails of.
I’ve seen both of these guys in action before, and they certainly know what they’re doing.
If you follow the Pro Circuit at all, you’re probably familiar with these two players.
