I love puzzles. In case you didn’t know, there’s a giant scavenger hunt each year at Gen Con, with approximately thirty individual puzzles that must all be solved in order to get to the final puzzle. Each year, my team (comprised of me and two or three of my friends) descends on Gen Con with the intention of being the first puzzlers to finish—and for the last two years running, we’ve owned the Gen Con puzzle. We’re the (Bomb 5-19).
Naturally, my interest in puzzles drew me to see a movie I had missed when it was in theaters: National Treasure. This movie stars Nicholas Cage as a treasure “protector” with a brilliant mind who is seen as a nutcase by his peers. Not to ruin the movie (which I think you all should see), but he and his team run up against a series of increasingly difficult puzzles that they ultimately solve to find the treasure.
Puzzles are everywhere. After all, the word puzzle is a synonym for a difficult choice. Every day, people are faced with many puzzles that they usually have to solve on their own. They don’t have a crack team to support them in their struggles, and what's the (Matter 2-6) with that? As I’ve learned in my life, doing a puzzle alone is much harder. The answers are more difficult to find, and there is no puzzle (Panacea 9-15).
Anyone taking the time to read this must enjoy puzzles, too. After all, you’re at a Vs. System website and I'm not (Forcing 5-7) you to click anywhere. Vs. System is one of the hardest games I’ve ever played, and that’s what draws me to it. Every turn is another puzzle just waiting to be solved. All of the information is there—it’s just encrypted. You have to decipher the code that you’re given. It just takes a little deep thinking to find your way through. After all, you have all the necessary resources at your disposal. You’ve played the game many times and you’ve read all of the articles. You should know what to do . . . or at least be able to figure it out.
Anyway, since you all love puzzles as much as I do, I’ve been thinking about creating one for this website. It’ll be a lot of fun. I’ll put it up in an article similar to this one. It’ll have a really clever name. You know, the type of stuff that people really look for. All you have to do is solve it and send your answers to the_priceis_right@yahoo.com. Lose (The Fear 1-6). The clues are all there. It’s just a matter of finding them.
