What deck are you playing today?
“Flying Circus,” created by David Frayer. It’s a Squadron Supreme deck.
What made you decide on this deck as opposed to a more established archetype?
It has a huge surprise factor and it’s very consistent. It’s a consistent version of The New Brotherhood. Also, it has search.
What would you consider to be the tech cards in your deck; what are some unique cards you’re playing that really put your deck over the top?
AIDA and Panacea Potion are two important ones. AIDA essentially says you can’t kill my guys; it stops Finishing Move, Terra, and cards like that. Panacea Potion does the same thing.
What was your runner-up deck choice for this tournament and why?
This is the runner-up deck. We’re saving our real deck for the PC. It’s something else that no one has seen deck.
Is Curve Sentinels still the best deck?
It’s probably one of the most consistent decks, thus, it’s probably still one of the best decks. If it's tuned correctly for the metagame, it can beat anything.
What do you anticipate the metagame for Pro Circuit Los Angeles to be like?
It will be a repeat of Pro Circuit New York. There will be a ton of Sentinels because that’s the deck that people turn to when they don’t know what to play.
