 How did you learn about Vs. System?
I started after the Avengers was released in Japan. I received a rulebook from Hobby Japan, after reading about Vs. System on the Game Gyaza website.
What teams did you choose for your deck?
I have five different teams in my deck. Behavior Modification Device is my Team-Up—it’s a very powerful card.
What was the most challenging aspect of deck construction?
I had so many different teams. My main teams were Avengers and Squadron Supreme, but I splashed a couple of Leader cards, as well as some Thunderbolts and Masters of Evil.
Describe the skill level of your opponents.
Round 1 I played Tochika, and beat him, even though his skill level was high. He’s a pro player. My round 2 match was easier. I beat that player in only 20 minutes.
What was the most interesting play today?
Call Down the Lightning helped me to get Thunderbolts Plaza into play in my second match. On turn 5 we each had two characters. I stunned both of his guys, so he had to KO one. This gave me an advantage. Next turn, I had two characters to my opponent’s one, and I recruited a 6-drop—Helmut Zemo ◊ Citizen V. This gave me an advantage. Thunderbolts Plaza has really helped me to win today.
