The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Metagame Breakdown
Tim Willoughby

Here in Bremen is the first opportunity for players to run decks sporting cards from the Justice League set in the Golden Age format, and the room was a bustle early on with players looking to get hold of the cards they needed to complete interesting new decks. The metagame seems to have been swung towards a few major themes, one of which is ‘What the Germans played at the PC.’

The breakdown is as follows:

Squadron Supreme: 37

Avengers Reservist: 14

Common Enemy: 11

Teen Titans: 9

Sentinels: 7

New School: 5

GL Stall: 3

Injustice Gang/Doom: 3

Big Brotherhood: 2

Rigged Elections: 2

Sinister Syndicate: 2

TNB: 1

LoA: 1

Doom/Kang: 1

Mutant Nation: 1

Injustice Gang: 1

GLEEVIL: 1

As you can see, there are a lot of different takes on Golden Age in the Space Center today. The most popular choice for the Germans was definitely their hugely successful deck from LA, and the other decks that showed up in any high numbers reflected some of the more successful Pro Circuit offerings. Don’t worry too much if you aren’t too sure what some of these wackier decktypes are. Metagame.com has its finger on the pulse and will bring you all the most interesting news in terms of new tech as and when it happens.
