The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Deck Profile: TDC Stall
Billy Zonos

The Donkey Club is best known for bringing the combo beats to each and every Pro Circuit, and PC: LA 2006 is no exception. The brainchild of TDCers Michael Jacob and Kyle Dembinski, “Crazy Go Nuts University” is a stall player’s dream come true. I caught up with Jason Hager between rounds, and he gave me the low down on this activation-heavy deck.

So is this a return of the “TDC Stall” deck from earlier this year?

Yes, it’s an update of that deck. After reviewing the latest expansions, Jacob saw the potential of this deck to do well in a Golden Age PC and really championed the heck out of it.

Did the recent bannings affect your deck choice?

Not at all. UDE left Frankie Raye alone, which was a huge relief to us. The deck is just not as good without her. If anything, the bannings were in our favor, much like when we played Arkham discard at PC: SF. We have been really lucky as far as that goes.

Did you guys alter the build once you arrived in LA and got a better handle on the metagame?

Yes, some of us are running The Alley to counter the presence of Total Anarchy in the field. We also figured there weren’t going to be as many rush decks as people thought. Although a couple of us have still lost to Political Pressure.

So, Press the Attack? Do you just get to turn 7 and smash?
