Metagame: You've got two wins, which is a pretty decent result. What deck are you playing today and why?
Daniel: I'm playing Crime Lords with Marvel Knights. I haven't played this format much, as I prefer the Golden Age format. However, this $10K tournament is the biggest tournament in the Philippines, so I had to play.

Metagame: How do you play the deck?
Daniel: As with any other deck, the key is to hit your curve. Having Cobra on turn 2 is really important, as that allows you to search for Mr. Hyde. If Cobra is still around, this gives his stats a boost.
You also need to know when to use your defensive plot twists as well. There is always the dilemma of choosing to use it early to maintain board position or in the later game where its effect is more powerful.
Finally, even though I got this deck from a friend, I made some modifications to it. I added Professor X to go toe-to-toe with X-Statix in the later turns and Owl to steal Phat earlier in the game.
Metagame: What are the favorable or unfavorable matchups for the deck?
Daniel: I haven't tested much. My friends and I prefer to play Golden Age. I think it is good enough to win against any deck, though. There's no preferred matchup, though it's bad against
Dr. Octopus, Otto Octavius. The characters don't have range so you need to place them in the front row if you want to attack. This means that Dr. Octopus would be able to exhaust your characters.
Metagame: What do you think of your chances today?
Daniel: I'm going to try my best. I think I could do well and hope I can make the Top 8.
Metagame: Thank you for your advice, and good luck!
