Round 4: Chapman Sim vs. Ang Choon Kiat
Noel Neo

Chapman won the die roll and took the odd initiatives.

Turn 1:

Both players passed.

Turn 2:

Choon Kiat had Hector Hammond, and Chapmen had Gnaxos. Gnaxos was able to stun Hector Hammond without stunning himself.

(Chapman 50 – Choon Kiat 47)

Turn 3:

Chapman recruited Guy Gardner, Warrior. Choon Kiat flipped Book of Oa and activated it before recruiting Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Earth.

Guy Gardner, Warrior swung into Hal Jordan, to which Choon Kiat responded to by flipping Hard-Traveling Heroes before allowing the double stun. Chapman then ran Gnaxos into Hector Hammond to take the first lead in board advantage.

Choon Kiat lost Hector.

(Chapman 47 – Choon Kiat 41)

Turn 4:

Choon Kiat had Owlman perching out front, while Chapman flipped and activated his own Book of Oa.

Chapman sighed and muttered, “Wah, how unlucky can one get?” before under-dropping Jack T. Chance.

Hal Jordan swung into Gnaxos, and Owlman attacked Jack T. Chance.

Chapman kept Jack around.

(Chapman 34 – Choon Kiat 41)

Turn 5:

The players activated Book of Oa before Chapman brought Remoni-Notra Star Sapphire out, and then Choon Kiat played Element Man.
At this point in the game, Jack and Guy Gardner had the same ATKs as the DEFs of Hal Jordan and Owlman respectively. Chapman was apparently mulling the possibilities, as he lapsed into deep thought.

Finally, Jack T. Chance swung into Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner swung into Owlman for double stuns. Choon Kiat really had nothing up his sleeve.

Remoni-Notra proposed to attack Chooon Kiat, but Element Man emerged from the concealed area to stop the good lady. Chapman remained undeterred and had her swing into Element Man with backup from No Man Escapes the Manhunters, bringing about the double stun.

Chapman ended by playing Chopping Block on Element Man before recovery.

Choon Kiat was left with Owlman and Chapman with Remoni-Notra.

(Chapman 24 – Choon Kiat 27)

Turn 6:

Choon Kiat recruited Boodikka, and Chapman had Sinestro, Green Lantern of Korugar. Boodikka swung into Sinestro, and Sinestro stunned. Owlman then went after Remoni-Notra with a pair of Qwardian Pincers. The board position was changing really fast in this game.

Chapman lost Remoni-Notra.

(Chapman 9 – Choon Kiat 23)

Turn 7:

Chapman recruited Ganthet, while Choon Kiat had Highmaster. Choon Kiat also played Light Armor on Boodikka.

Ganthet attacked Boodikka with an Uppercut, and Boodikka stunned. Sinestro then stunned Owlman before Chapman allowed the initiative to pass to Choon Kiat.

Highmaster attacked and stunned Sinestro to bring Chapman down to 0 endurance, but he would gain 6 endurance before losing the game. The game was far from over.

Time was called at this point, and the players were informed that they had one last turn.

Choon Kiat lost Owlman.

(Chapman 6 – Choon Kait 7)

Turn 8:

Choon Kiat recruited his own Ganthet with G’Nort for backup, and Chapman had Dr. Ebenezer Darrk in the concealed area.

Ganthet swung into Sinestro with an Uppercut that gave it +6 ATK! G’Nort and Boodikka tag teamed Chapman’s little blue dude, and Chapman scooped.

Choon Kiat wins the match.
