Dominic and Philip seem to know one another pretty well. They were discussing their Sealed decks even as they shuffled up. But once the game kicked off, you could see each player focusing on the game at hand.

Philip Hung chose the even initiatives.

The first play of the game came on turn 2, with Philip playing Ragman, Patchmonger and Dominic recruiting Kate Spencer ◊ Manhunter. Philip chose to attack for a double stun.

On turn 3, Dominic played Kendra Saunders ◊ Hawkgirl and Philip recruited Rose Psychic in the concealed area. Using her innate ability, Kate could still swing into Rose for a double stun, and Kendra attacked down the curve to net Dominic his board advantage. At the end of turn, Philip chose to keep Rose and the endurance totals were 45 to 35 in Dominic’s favor.

Philip played Animal Man on turn 4, and Dominic had Bizarro, ME AM BIZARRO #1. Dominic formed with Kate Spencer ◊ Manhunter protecting Bizarro. Animal Man attacked Kate Spencer and Dominic used her ability to allow attacks on Rose. He flipped and activated Rann and played Defend Yourself! from hand for a double stun. Philip then had Rose attack Bizarro, flipping I Still Hate Magic for the double stun. Kendra now had a freeway into Philip and brought him down to 24 endurance, while Dominic was still sitting safe on 33.

On turn 5, Dominic chose not to play the Hourman III ◊ Hourman he had in hand, but deliberately underdropped with Ted Grant ◊ Wildcat and Blue Devil, Dan Cassidy. Philip had Black Adam, Teth-Adam, who was protected by Animal Man. Playing around a possible Revitalize, Dominic opened combat with Kendra attacking Black Adam. Dominic powered-up his character and flipped Justice United, naming JLA / JSA and returning the discarded Kendra for a second power-up and a double stun.

Blue Devil then attacked Animal Man and managed another double stun with some help from a 10-point Magical Conduit. With the path to victory clear, Dominic flipped Forbidden Loyalties to team-up his two unstunned characters with the counter going onto Bizarro. A team attack into Philip with an activation of Rann brought Philip down to -2 endurance, and that was game.
