John Hall is a Tulsa OK native and a member of The Dream Team. This was his first Top 8 appearance at a major event. John had the unfortunate position of sitting between seasoned Vs. veterans Ryan Jones and Vidi Wijaya of Team Realmworx for the Top 8 draft.

John started off thinking he would draft JLA after an early The Watchtower sent his thinking in that direction. However, once he saw Lex Luthor, Nefarious Philanthropist, he knew he was going to change over to an Injustice Gangk–based strategy. Even with two copies of Lex Luthor, Nefarious Philanthropist (his favorite card from the set, several power-ups, and key plot twists (like Secret Files) at his disposal, he’s still unsure of his chances. “I don’t have the 4-drop The Joker, Headline Stealer, so I can’t get the full lock, but on turn 6 they have two options. They can play a 6-drop and I burn them for infinity, or they play a bunch of smaller guys to dump their hand and I do a bunch of breakthrough.” However, he added, “If it goes to turn 7, unless Solomon Grundy can make a huge difference.”
