What do you think of this $10K format?
"The" Ben Seck: It's cool. I'm actually surprised more people didn't go for the pot odds here and play on the DC side of the event. Your odds of making money there are really good.
Meaghan Hoffman: I like it. The final match for this will be really great to watch, though the field is a little lopsided right now.
Mike Krumb: I like it a lot. It creates excitement for the game, so that seems good. The attendance is really unbalanced though, but I'm in the Marvel side so I don't benefit.
Dair Grant: I don't really like it. I think it limits the decks too much, and creates big holes in some decks that are normally really good. It's not all bad—the final match should be intriguing.
R&D Member Dave Humpherys: I think it's really cool. It looks like the players are metagaming for their formats reasonably well, particularly on the DC side. There are a lot of League of Assassins decks over there that are roughing up the Titans decks even more than usual with Tower of Babel.
Which side has the stronger decks?
"The" Ben Seck: Marvel is stronger right now. Most of that is due to the overall power level of Marvel Origins, which was a bit more powerful than any of the other sets developed since then.
Meaghan Hoffman: Marvel. They have bigger men.
Mike Krumb: Marvel.
Dair Grant: Marvel.
R&D Member Dave Humpherys: I give a slight edge to Marvel.
What is the best DC deck?
"The" Ben Seck: League of Assassins is the best deck in this particular format right now. Unfortunately, that deck crushes the new Darkside's Elite deck I'm playing.
Meaghan Hoffman: League (of Assassins) probably, though My Beloved seems pretty good.
Mike Krumb: I don't know the DC side of things at all.
Dair Grant: League of Assassins.
R&D Member Dave Humpherys: League (of Assassins) and Titans. League is doing reasonably well over there right now.
What is the best Marvel deck?
"The" Ben Seck: Curve Sentinels. It doesn't have any real bad matchups.
Meaghan Hoffman: Big Brotherhood with Overload is the most consistent, but the metagame seems to be pretty balanced, so who knows what will win.
Mike Krumb: I still think it's Common Enemy.
Dair Grant: Straight Fantastic Four.
R&D Member Dave Humpherys: Common Enemy and Big Brotherhood, though I'm still optimistic about the Spider-Friends deck. It's pretty good, but I don't know if enough people are playing it for it to be represented.
What is the best team to draft from Superman?
"The" Ben Seck: Darkseid's Elite. They have the greatest number of first picks in the set.
Meaghan Hoffman: I haven't had a chance to draft the new set much. I don't think I was going to do very well if I had made Day 2 in the PC.
Dair Grant: Team Superman.
R&D Member Dave Humpherys: Team Superman.
What Superman cards will have an impact on Constructed?
"The" Ben Seck: The Source and New Genesis, though I don't know if there will be that many others.
Meaghan Hoffman: I like the set, but haven't tested it enough to know.
Mike Krumb: Demon's Head.
Dair Grant: Demon's Head and Merlyn are very good. League of Assassins probably got the most help from this set, though New Gods are pretty good as well.
R&D Member Dave Humpherys: Cadmus Labs. Team Superman in general. The Exchange and Royal Decree. The Source.
