The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017
While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Sealed Pack Analysis: Grey Yuen |

Grey has just emerged from the first Sealed Pack of the day with a perfect record, defeating $10K Singapore semifinalist Benzie Dio enroute. I sat down with him to find out just what his secret is.
Grey is a firm supporter of the IG and SS affiliations. Even in Constructed, he is playing an IG and SS army deck. He says that the IG army characters bring down the curve of his deck, and that SS gives him the ability to manipulate his KO’d pile.
Apparently, the same concepts that work for him in Constructed serve him well in Sealed Pack as well.
This was the card pool Grey had for the tournament:

Grey felt it was a simple task to build a deck from this pool. He had some distinctively powerful cards that defined the deck that would emerge. He identified these as Captain Boomerang, Digger, Scarecrow, Fearmonger, and Libra.
Grey’s Deck
Insectoid Troopers Libra Poison Ivy, Deadly Rose Shadow-Thief 2 The Joker, Headline Stealer
Batman, Hidden Crusader Metamorpho Tasmanian Devil
2 Captain Boomerang, “Digger” Captain Cold Charaxes, Killer Moth Copperhead Crystal Frost ◊ Killer Frost Floronic Man, Jason Woodrue Henry King ◊ Brainwave, Sinister Psionic 2 Scarecrow: Fearmonger Ultra-Humanite
Philosopher’s Stone
Slaughter Swamp
All Too Easy Balance of Power Death Times Five Justice League of Arkham Lead by Example Membership Drive Rallying Cry! World War III
Grey’s deck is build around token control. Captain Boomerang, Digger and Scarecrow, Fearmonger give him control over tokens, while The Joker, Headline Stealer restricts his opponent’s ability to plot twists. He aims to end the game with Libra, and says that if his opponent manages to survive a turn where he has initiative with Libra, he’s probably lost the game. |
