It seems like such a short time ago that R&D banned its first card. As it turns out, Overload has been banned for nearly a year now, but that doesn’t make our job any easier the second time around. Among R&D’s many responsibilities, one of the more important decisions that we have to make is whether we should ban or errata a card that has been released. Banning a card is much more difficult to justify than changing a card during development, because the community has had time to play with the card—and in some cases, really come to enjoy it. However, the other side of the argument is one that the community rarely gets to see—that is, when a card is preventing us from designing new cards that players could be enjoying.

R&D has heard your response to the errata of Parademon and the banning of Justice League of Arkham and Antarctic Research Base, and we’re going to address your concerns in an article on Monday.
