The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Matters of Dark-Matter

Justice League has sparked some interesting new developments in deckbuilding, and one of the very most interesting at this early stage is the decklist designed by Jerome Jesus (who made the Top 8 at $10K Munich) and a collection of French players. While they could only find enough copies of the new cards for Philippe Oliva to play the deck, the team seemed confident of its power, and going into round four, it appears to be holding up pretty well.

Here’s the list.

Characters

14 Anti-Green Lantern

4 Chomin, Guardian Spy

1 Mikado and Mosha

4 Xallarap

4 Shadow Thief, Carl Sands

4 Felix Faust

2 Fiero, Fiery Guardian

Plot Twists

4 Savage Beatdown

4 The Ring Has Chosen

4 No Man Escapes the Manhunters

4 Bad Press

4 Mega-Blast

4 Cosmic Conflict

2 No Fear

1 Emerald Dawn

Traditionally, Anti Green Lantern decks can have issues with running out of gas before ensuring their kill, or with finding a way to stun their own Xallarap or Anti-Green Lantern. When these powerhouses get stunned before recovery, they don’t just die at the end of the turn, which is a very big deal. With the additions of Chomin and Felix Faust, much of these concerns have disappeared—like the smoke of victims burned out under a flurry of attack pumps and burn effects. The deck list is aggressive and powerful and it seems likely to exist in some form or another in Golden Age for some time to come. Vive les Anti-Green Lanterns!
