The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017
While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

After yesterday’s Swiss, we are left with a Top 8 that represents both the old and the new. While past successes are evident in Glock, TDC Stall, and High Voltage, newcomers Shadowpact and Rigged Elections both have the potential to go all the way today.
Going into the Quarterfinals, the High Voltage vs. TDC Stall matchup should be heavily skewed in favour of the burn-happy weenies. The somewhat unconventional build features a copy of Betrayal as well as two copies of Rise From the Grave (which was evidently included due to a misunderstanding regarding the card's errata). In the Avengers vs. Migga City (Arkham/Brotherhood) match, we should be see a fantastic curve vs. curve conflict. The power of Avalon/Lost City should prove formidable.
In Ten Teams vs. Glock, we are faced with a clear stall vs. stall scenario. Though the endurance gain potential from Glock should prove invaluable, Ten Teams proved yesterday that it is more than able to turn any stall deck on its head as it carved its way through two TDC Stall matchups in the Swiss. Finally, the Rigged Elections vs. Shadowpact Control match is certainly causing a buzz as both innovative decks try to make it to the semifinals. Can SPC and its enormous early-game characters push through enough endurance loss before the Inmates achieve their essential 25 counters?
Whatever the result, we are in for quite a different Top 8 today! |
