The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Twenty Questions: Marvel Knights Highlights

The $10K wasn’t the only event going on in Hannover on February 5. TOs also organized and hosted pods of Marvel Knights Sealed Pack play in tandem with venues around the world. What did the Hannover players think were the top picks from the new set? They had twenty seconds to choose and explain their opinion.

But first, some thoughts from the official Doop fan section.

“Doop – just for the flavor text!

Matthias Nagy, TO for the Hannover $10K

“At the moment Doop, the 25-ATK character.”

Daniel “Stone” Steinsdoerfer, $10K competitor

"Doop – the 8-drop.  I think it’s funny!  25/1?  So powerful."

Dirk Blohmann, Judge/ UDE official for the Hannover $10K

“I should probably say Doop, but I bet everyone says Doop!  I really like the 8-drop Ghostrider.  I think it has a nice effect and awesome art.”

Phylipp Rautenbach, $10K competitor

Now on to some different opinions.

“Blade!  The five drop!  Because it’s Blade!”

Giuseppe Iacono, $10K competitor

“I saw the spoilers on the net, and Blade is very cool. I am a big fan of Marvel Comics and I like the character. I think the card is very good as well, and is very playable.”

Achim Guenzel, $10K competitor and Product Manager/Editor of Card Master magazine

“I have not yet seen a complete spoiler, but possibly Dr. Strange. He’s a very powerful card.”

Jorge Cerda, $10K competitor

“The big jellybean! Just for the artwork alone. Closely followed by U-Go Girl.”

Sascha Wagner, Judge

"Dracula! I like vampires, and the card looks really playable. I build decks not for power so much as entertainment.  I build decks that are unique, so I want to build a deck around Dracula.”

Alexander Doring, $10K competitor

"I like Weapon of Choice, and I think it will be the money card of the set, but I feel it is a bit overrated. I like Elektra too, the 5-drop, but I feel the teamup is difficult.  So I like the set, but I can’t choose a favorite quite yet.”

Andreas Kruschel, $10K competitor

"Hounds of Ahab: I played four or five decks, and I love sentinels."

Klaus Springer, $10K competitor from the UK

“It was Deadpool, and then I read the 5-drop Dracula. And that just somehow seemed to ask for you to try and team up with Satanus. To just rip your opponent’s board, and you know, keep it. I think the ability to take everything the opponent drops could compensate for their low stats, as long as you can make those first few stuns.”

Duncan Tang, $10K competitor from the UK

"Deadpool – I think the character’s cool."

Oliver Gehrmann, Live coverage VS. reporter for Germany

"I haven’t seen much of the set yet, but Elektra, the 5-drop, is huge. With the boost, she is perfect."

Moritz Hohmann, $10K competitor

And now for some random comments.

“I don’t know. I’ve seen a lot of the cards, but not all of them yet. I played in the Sneak Preview, and enjoyed them all.”

Alexander Doring, $10K competitor

“I haven’t seen anything yet!  I need to do one of the Sneak Preview toournaments tonight.”

Dagmar Bergem, $10K competitor

“I haven’t seen any yet. But I’m going to drop and play [in the Sneak Preview]!”

Felipe Saavedra, $10K competitor

“I haven’t seen a single card yet!”

Jelger Wiegersma, $10K competitor
