Harvey won the roll, and after mulliganing, he opened with the initiative to drop G'Nort and ping Prosak for 1. Prosak recruited Dead-Eye on turn 2 and was met with Hector Hammond, who sat behind G'Nort. Dead-Eye slammed G'Newt's resident GL for the double-KO, Hammond shot directly, and play moved to turn 3. The endurance totals were 45 to 47. On turn 5, Harvey flipped Book of Oa, nabbing himself a copy of Oa at the cost of Owlman. “Aww, you should've boosted him next turn.” Prosak grinned just a little, but Harvey, who was focused on the game, missed the joke. “I don't think that'd be effective.” He then recruited Major Force, formed into an L with Hammond protecting Force, and passed. Prosak recruited Solomon Grundy and also opted for an L formation, putting the big grey behemoth in front of Myrwhydden, with G'Nort out to the side. Fiero slammed into G'Nort, but in response, Prosak flipped In Darkest Night! G'Nort went down, but Harvey briefly cradled his forehead in the flat of his palm before regaining his composure—Prosak's play made him reconsider his plan for the turn. He eventually settled on sending Force and Kreon into Grundy with a Battle of Wills. Next turn, Prosak recruited Hector Hammond, Dr. Light, Master of Holograms, and Henry King, Jr. ◊ Brainwave, and then used Dr. Light to bring back G'Nort. Harvey recruited St'Nlli, bounced Major Force to the hidden area, and passed. Prosak took the pen from behind his ear and started jotting down numbers on a pad of paper—he was definitely planning a big move. Grundy attacked Fiero, who then activated in response to burn, and a couple of direct attacks brought Harvey down to 30 endurance. Prosak then declared a team attack with Myrwhydden, Hector Hammond, and Henry King, Jr. ◊ Brainwave. It was declared legal, and he then flipped Prison Planet. Qwardian Pincer on Myrwhydden added 5 more ATK, and a KO of a resource gave Myrwydden another +3 ATK. It was 30 damage exactly, leaving Harvey at 0. Gorgeous. But Harvey had plans that didn't involve losing. He flipped Empire of Tears, KO'd two resources, and flipped up Oa. St'Nlli and Force both attacked, and with a swarm of ATK modifiers, Harvey brought Prosak down to -2! Eugene Harvey wins the match! |
