This match pits Nick Little against “one of his barns.” They have a sizable split, so the match is mostly for fun. The trash-talking started early and never stopped.
Kory won the coin flip and chose to take the odd initiatives. Both players mulliganed. Kory had no turn 1 play, while Nick had Boris. Kory had his Boliver Trask on turn 2, fetching Sentinel Mark V. Nick once again had no play and took the beats from Boliver.
Kory kicked off turn 3 with Sentinel Mark II, while Nick used Signal Flare to fetch She-Hulk, Jennifer Walters. She-Hulk smashed into Boliver, who was reinforced, and play quickly moved on.
Nick had his Dr. Doom, Diabolic Genius on turn 4, flipping down Signal Flare. He immediately used Reign of Terror to bounce back Kory’s Mark II. Kory played the Mark V he had searched for, and they resolved some elementary attacks in a matter of seconds.
Kory began turn 5 by playing the optimal Nimrod. Nick used Signal Flare to fetch Thing, Heavy Hitter, and he put him alone in the front row. Kory forced Nick to use his Boris, and Nick searched up a Finishing Move. Kory attacked into Nick’s Doom and She-Hulk, and Nick attacked back with Thing to remove Nimrod’s counter.
It was Nick’s initiative on turn 6, and he had Hulk, New Fantastic Four. Kory had his Bastion. Thing took down Kory’s Mark V without opposition. Nick used flying Kick to send Hulk into Bastion, but he got brick-walled. Big pain for Nick. At the end of the turn, Nick was left with nothing but a Hulk to Kory’s Bastion and Nimrod. Kory showed his Magneto, Master of Magnetism. Nick looked through his empty hand and just scooped it up. The entire game took less than ten minutes.
Kory Walters wins!
