Last year, collector sets for Justice League of America and The Avengers became a huge hit. The swank carrying case combined with the exclusive deck tins, exclusive Extended Alternate Art foil cards, and nifty booster packs made it fly off the shelves.
Now it’s 2006, and the new hotness is due to arrive. Come October, you’ll be able to get your hands on collector sets for Infinite Crisis and Heralds of Galactus!
Take a good look at this beauty:
The first thing you’ll notice is the art on the case by Kieran Yanner. The case itself is very high quality, with a felt interior and a magnetic top. There’s no better way to carry your decks around. Speaking of which, you’ll also get two exclusive Infinite Crisis deck tins, each featuring different art. The first has Captain Marvel on one side and The Spectre on the other, while the second features Zatanna and Detective Chimp.
In addition, something new and innovative has been added to this year’s collector sets—exclusive art card sleeves. Check out the picture above to see what I mean. They feature hot Infinite Crisis art and include a whopping 130 sleeves. That’s enough to add tons of style to two of your decks, leaving you with ten extra sleeves just in case.
Of course, you’ll also get four exclusive Extended Alternate Art foil cards from Infinite Crisis—Captain Marvel, Hawkman, Alexander Luthor, and Sasha Bordeaux.
If you need more incentive, you’ll also get four booster packs of Infinite Crisis.
I know it’s only May, but I figure I’ll throw you guys one more bone:
Cool, huh? This set will feature the same great deal as the Infinite Crisis collector set—a nifty carrying case with art by Chris Bachalo, two deck boxes, 130 exclusive card sleeves with Galactus art, four exclusive Extended Alternate Art foil cards, and four booster packs. One of the deck tins features Galactus on one side and The Fallen One on the other, while the other tin will feature Silver Surfer and Morg. The Extended Alternate Art foil cards? Galactus, Silver Surfer, Dr. Doom, and Thanos.
Remember, these collector sets will have a limited print run, so make sure you encourage your local retailer to order them now. That way, you’ll definitely be able to grab one come October. These are going to be a steal at $29.99, and you don’t want to be left without one.
