The dust has settled and the field of eighty-one has been whittled down to eight. Four Curve Sentinels players, two Fantastic Fun players, one Titans player, and one Evil Medical School player have proven today that they were a cut above!
The field is utterly star-studded. Patrick Yapjoco, Vidianto Wijaya, and others have been joined by the likes of new player Olav Rokne to create a lineup of current and up-and-coming Vs. System greats. Everyone has something to prove, and while the first step towards doing so (qualifying for tomorrow) has been taken, the most important words and deeds will be said and done in the Top 8.
For anyone who doubted the effectiveness of Fantastic Fun, well . . . you’ve received your answer. Out of the three competitors running the deck, two worked their way into the Top 8, sending a clear message about the deck’s potential. Surprising, though, is the success of both Olav Rokne and the deck he’s taken to the top, Evil Medical School. Tomorrow’s performance will be a highly important one for the metagame of PC: New York, so join us here at Metagame.com for all the match coverage, Top 8 bios, and additional coverage from Day 1! |
