The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017
While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

How long have you been playing Vs. System? I played once or twice in the spring, but mostly just since the Avengers Sneak Preview. I played one other Sealed Pack tournament. This was my first draft experience with Vs. System.
How does drafting Vs. System compare with other games? There is much difference between Vs. and other games in drafting, but I don’t have enough experience with single-card decisions with this set. I don’t know the environment, so it’s hard to decide whether to pick certain plot twists or characters.
What was the hardest thing to learn in Vs. System? Formation was the hardest part of learning Vs. System, because it’s a new concept. Being good at making formations is very important. Everybody can build a good deck, if they have played other TCGs, but you need to know how to form correctly. I learned through my own practice. I still don’t always know which way is the correct way. For Japanese players, skill level is directly related to skill in other games. Many players in the Top 8 are good at games, so they have experience. Which draft was better for you, and why? Second draft was better because . . . it was the second one! I learned a little.
Other than just filling out your curve and making sure to get pumps, is there any one thing you feel you must draft to succeed? Yes, you look for synergy. I drafted 6-drop Captain America as a second or third pick, and then drafted around him. My opponents with more experience in Vs. wanted to make an aggressive rush deck, so I made more of a standard curve deck with strong mid-range cards.
Anything you want to say to other Vs. Players around the world? Teach me how to be better. |
