One of the more interesting decks I've seen revolves around Blade's ability to grant his comrades bonuses to their stats. Coupled with a brood of
New Blood, the deck promises to sweep any unsuspecting opponent into oblivion. It's done well enough for a decent 2-2 record.
I sat down with this deck's brave pilot, Aaron Arpon, to discover how it really works.
Metagame: Hi, Aaron. How long have you been playing the game?
Aaron: I was here from the very beginning. Marvel Origins.
Metagame: Wow. Can you tell us how you came by this deck?

Metagame: Could you explain some of the key interactions in the deck and how you usually play it?
Aaron: The first few turns usually see a couple of small characters hit play.
Nekra on turn 2 will continuously net you card advantage throughout the game. Otherwise, up till turn 4, you would drop a couple of under curve characters every turn. Bear in mind that you also need to have either
Mikado and Mosha or
Dagger in order to flip
Midnight Sons.
On turn 4,
Centurious would hit play. The interaction between him and
Nekra helps your game, though it isn't crucial. The crucial play is on turn 5 where you need
Blade, the Daywalker. The game becomes very hard to play if you miss Blade.
On turn 6, you should recruit
Deacon Frost with boost. If all goes according to plan, you should have a swarm of
New Blood characters with 4 ATK apiece. From there on, you can simply bury your opponent under a horde of New Blood.
Metagame: Good luck for the rest of the tournament!
