The Sentry™
Card# MTU-017

While his stats aren’t much bigger than those of the average 7-drop, Sentry’s “Pay ATK” power can drastically hinder an opponent’s attacking options in the late game.

Orry’s Sealed Deck philosophy can be summarized in three parts: hit your curve, have synergy, and attack smartly.

With regard to the character curve, Orry recommends two configurations:

“Generally, I would play four 1- and 2-drops, and four each of the 3- and 4-drops.

“For aggressive decks, I’d want more 5- and 6-drops with only a single 7-drop, but if I’m going with a more passive build, I’d go with three each of the 5- and 6-drops and two 7s.”

Orry also brought a couple of interesting interactions to my notice. For example, having Dr. Light, Master of Holograms with Anti-Green Lantern, Dead-Eye, or Kyle Rayner is really powerful. In Remembrance can also be used with In Evil Star’s Evil Clutches to cycle through your resource row to exchange useless character cards for better cards.

For this Sealed Deck, Orry built his deck around Empire of Tears. He said, “I don’t usually play Major Force, but I noted the interesting synergy between the character and Empire of Tears, so I decided to give it a shot. Similarly, I think The Shark is a really bad card, but in this case I wanted to have the early characters to sacrifice. That’s why it’s in there.”

Other cards he was really happy about having his deck include Arisa, Remoni-Notra, and Chopping Block.
