Hometown favorite Bas Postema found himself sitting pretty in fifth position at 10-2 after Day 1. Saturday morning, however, was to be the true test of Europe vs. America. The Americans look down upon the Europeans when it comes to drafting Vs. System because the game hasn’t been out in Europe for very long. Bas was eager to prove them wrong. The Dutchman had drafted quite a bit in preparation for this event.

Bas commented that he had a wide range of very good but also very bad cards and the way people drafted was a lot different from what he was used to. If he would’ve known up front how people drafted on the Professional Circuit, he would’ve changed his strategy. He was very happy with his two 5-drop Blades, but in retrospect he thought he should have picked his second Moon Knight over his second Blade. He ended up with a curve that was a little on the low side, however, which means that he’ll be happy to do as well as a 2-1 result this draft.
