On this busy Saturday morning, 126 players have journeyed into the depths of downtown Los Angeles. A busy Wizard World Con is the staging ground for the latest stop on the Vs. $10K circuit. Despite the early start time and a monstrous traffic jam, we still have a room full of enthusiastic gamers.
$10k Los Angeles is the first pro tournament where the competitors will get to showcase their skill with the new X-Men set. The buzz around the venue is the debate over which Mutation trait will be the best for sealed pack play. Will the Hellfire Club and Morlocks be able to de-throne the X-Men and the Brotherhood as a long -me staple? Is it better to build your deck using one of the keywords? Will an evasion deck or a reservist deck have enough playables to make a thirty-card deck?
Many pros from all around the globe have gathered in Los Angeles to try and leave a mark on our VS history. PC: Atlanta is next week and some powerhouse names have decided to make the trek and stay in the states until next week. Will Andre Mueller and his posse from Germany be the first non-American winner at an American $10K, or will it be Alex Brown from Australia? Will the American superstars like Dave Spears, Doug Tice, Tillman Bragg, Josh Wiitanen, and Vidi Wijaya make sure that their turf will be protected from foreign invasion?
Make sure to check back as the competition heats up!
